TUCSON - Beginning Sunday, if you have an interaction with a Tucson Police officer, you may be asked to fill out a community feedback survey.

For a period of about two weeks, the Tucson Police Department will be distributing surveys to citizens after speaking directly with any member of the department, such as police officers, detectives, and records, fingerprinting and crime lab personnel, according to a news release from TPD. The surveys will provide feedback regarding the interaction and the citizen's overall needs.

The survey period may go past the two-week period, depending on the level of response from the community. TPD distributes these surveys at least every three years, officials stated.

"It is extremely important to the members of the Tucson Police Department that we have a good sense of the community's perceptions regarding service delivery, expectations, and needs," Tucson Police officials stated. "If you are given a survey to complete after any interaction with a member of the department, please take a few minutes to assist us by providing your feedback and mailing the survey back to us."
