Tucson Police searching for child porn suspect

TUCSON- Sherry Edwards is learning a little more than she would like to know about her neighbor.

Mark Philip Grimes, 46, is a resident of the 6700 Block of East Barrow Street. "He just seems like a good guy who goes to work every day, comes home and he's with his kids when they're here," Edwards says.

But in August, Tucson Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, indicating Grimes had been sharing child pornography online.

On September 19th, a warrant was served at his house. Grimes was not home at the time. The News 4 Investigators obtained a copy of that warrant which details the evidence gathered by detectives that day. They found cameras, cell phones, hard drives and other electronic media, which was enough evidence to support 10 felony counts of child exploitation.

But the disturbing details are found in videos Grimes allegedly shared online. One shows a girl between 8-10 years old wearing a blue bikini and making sexual gestures. The other video shows a girl between 7-10 years old standing nude in a bathroom, also making sexual gestures.

"It's a big shock," Edwards says. I just can't picture Mark doing this."

Arrangements were made for Grimes to turn himself into police on September 27th, however he didn't appear as scheduled. Police believe he was in Albuquerque, New Mexico when the warrant was served, but he may have returned to Tucson.

Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
