Tucson Police searching for armed bank robber

TUCSON - An armed robbery suspect is still at large Wednesday after holding up a midtown bank.

Tucson Police are asking for the public's help finding the suspect, described as a white man 25 to 35 years old who stands 5-feet, 8-inches tall and about 180 to 190 pound, Tucson Police Sgt. Chris Widmer said.

Tucson Police say the suspect robbed the Wells Fargo in the 1200 block of West Prince Road at about 9:51 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect handed a note to a teller demanding money and threatening harm, Widmer said.

Standing behind bulletproof windows, the teller announced out loud that the bank was being robbed. The suspect then fled without any money, Widmer said, and escaped in an unknown direction.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect or his location to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
