UPDATE: Murder victim's SUV found

UPDATE: Tucson Police officers have located the victim's 1994 Ford Explorer in the 100 Block of East 28th Street, according to a release. The vehicle has been impounded for further processing, Tucson Police Sgt. Chris Widmer said.

Anyone with information regarding this murder investigation is being asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

TUCSON- Tucson Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 59-year-old man in midtown.

According to TPD Sergeant Chris Widmer, Tucson Fire responded to a residence in the 2200 block of East 19th Street around 10:30 Saturday night for a check welfare.

Widmer says the roommate arrived home and found 59-year-old George Martinez unconscious.

Upon arrival, officers found Martinez suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives believe the incident took place earlier Saturday evening.

According to Widmer, Martinez's 1994 white Ford Explorer was taken from the scene. TPD is searching for the Explorer with Arizona license plate "ACV8135."

Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-Crime.
