TUCSON - Police say two Sunnyside High School teens were detained after sending threats on the social media site Twitter.
A mother saw the tweets on her child's account.
"Who wants to blow up my school tomorrow?" one tweet said.
"I will bring the C4 and semtex," a response from another account detailed.
Although detectives identified the 16 and 17-year-old it is News 4 policy not to release names of minors.
The teens insisted it was a joke. Investigators did not discover any evidence of equipment needed to carry out the threat, Tucson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer said.
The two boys were charged with one count each of interference with an educational institution.
