TUCSON - A SWAT standoff ended just after 9 a.m. Monday after a man with a knife surrendered to police, Tucson Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer said.
It happened at an apartment complex near Greasewood and Broadway.
It began Sunday night at around 10 p.m. when a woman called 911 to report that her neighbor had been harassing her, Widmer said.
The police went to talk to the man and began yelling obscenities, Widmer said. The man assaulted an officer and barricaded himself in the home for at least 8 hours, Widmer said.
At one point the man came out with a knife but then just eventually surrendered, Wider said.
