TUCSON- Tucson Fire is spending more time in the classroom preaching safety and prevention.
The program includes parents and their kids to teach them about what to do when an alarm goes off and how dangerous matches and lighters are.
The program reached over 1,500 students and over 600 parents. They are hoping this will reduce fires like two that recently that destroyed entire apartments.
Firefighter Randall Tinnin recently stopped by Ochoa Community Magnet School for a lesson. Take a look in the video above.
