TUCSON - After being left for dead in a dumpster, Kimmy the Chihuahua is now back to health and is ready to be adopted.
Kimmy was the third dog in February to be abandoned in the trash by their owner.
The handler that rehabilitated Kimmy says the 8 pound Chihuahua loves to cuddle and is friendly with people and other dogs.
Leaving a dog in a dumpster is criminal. Officials say it's free to bring unwanted pets to the shelter at 4000 N. Silverbell Rd.
