TUCSON - It will soon cost drivers caught texting and driving in Tucson.
Wednesday evening, the Tucson City Council unanimously passed an ordinance making texting and driving a primary offense, which means police officers do not need another reason to pull drivers over to cite them.
The new ordinance will take effect April 1st and was adopted from a similar one already in effect in Phoenix.
