TUCSON - Seven year old Magdalan has spent most of her life in Tucson. Right now, she's living with foster parents in California and just wants to find her way home. She wants to find an adoptive family in Arizona.
Magdalan is getting more comfortable with herself and others, figuring out how to interact, trust and love. Her case manager, Grant Holburn, tells Kristi's Kids, Magdalan is just now coming out of her shell.
Foster mom, Ernestina Fuentes says, Magdalan "asks God to solve her problems. She is also incredibly curious about the stars in the sky, and animals and people's feelings."
Magdalan has developmental delays, but Holburn says that's not stopping her. "She's very engaging. She does get services. She has medical and behavioral health to help any potential family take care of her, so they won't be alone."
Fuentes says, Magdalan "really needs to get out of her element and be part of the world, more so than other children, because she was neglected in that area for such a long time."
You can learn more about Magdalan by contacting the St. Nicholas of Myra adoption center.
