TUCSON- Trico Electric Cooperative, Inc. has introduced Funding Focus, a new grant funding program for food and basic needs for children.
"With the continued downturn in the economy, kids are often the hardest hit. And our employees want to do what we can to help," stated CEO and General Manager, Vincent Nitido.
Non-profit organizations that provide basic needs for children are urged to apply for grants that can range between $10,000 to $40,000. Since the start of the Power Grants program in 2008, Trico has given out up to $200,000 to local non-profit organizations.
One requirement that Trico has in order to receive a grant is that the organization needs to show that the funds will be used to help a certain number of children in the Trico area. Grant applications are due by November 30, 2012 at 3:00 at the Trico offices.
