The case of a Tucson man, accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 7-year-old, will go to trial April 12, 2011.

Rhia Almeida's body was found in a wash in Ajo in June.

Investigators say the 7-year-old had been beaten and stabbed at least 14 times by the suspect, Loretto Alegria.

Alegria was arrested within hours of Almeida's body being found, and is charged with first degree murder and rape.
