TUCSON - For the 14th year, residents can recycle their Christmas trees through the City of Tucson's Tree Collection Programming. Beginning at noon Dec. 26th through Jan. 10, 2010.
Since 1997, the TreeCycle Program has collected and re-used more than 309,500 Christmas trees.
IMPORTANT: The City of Tucson will not collect Christmas trees from curbs or alleys. Also, make sure to remove all ornaments, decorations and tree stands before dropping off your tree.
The following Tree Cycle sites are open during daylight hours, seven days a week unless noted:
1. Oro Valley lot, "Naranja Town site, 660 W. Naranja
2. Rillito Race Track, east parking lot (follow signs)
3. Udall Park, south of Little League fields (follow signs)
4. Golf Links Sports Park, NW corner of Craycroft and Golf Links
5. Rodeo Grounds, north of Irvington, by east parking lot entrance
6. Davis Monthan AFB, recycling center (base access required)
7. Los Reales Landfill (follow Tree Cycle signs)
8. Marana Airport, west entrance (follow signs)
