TUCSON - The train track crossing at Cortaro Road will be closed next week due to construction for Union Pacific Railroad.
The closure will begin Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. and last until Nov. 18 at 4 p.m., according to a public notice from Ames Construction Inc.
Drivers trying to cross the tracks will be directed to Ina or Twin Peaks Road via Thornydale, Oldfather, or Hartman Road when approaching from the east side of the crossing, and via the I-10 frontage roads when approaching from the westbound I-10 frontage road or west of the crossing.
Businesses near the tracks will remain open and accessible.
In the event of bad weather, the schedule may be delayed without prior notice.
