TUCSON - A train slammed into a diesel tank capable of carrying five thousand gallons of liquid.
We're told about 200 to 300 gallons of diesel fuel has been spilled on train tracks at 1225 S. Campbell Ave near 22nd and Aviation Highway. The accident happened around 4 a.m. The driver of the tanker was taken to the hospital.
Officials Union Pacific Rail Yard were on scene, along with Tucson Fire Dept. and Tucson Police Dept., and environmental officials. We're told there is no public threat at the moment.
