TUCSON- On Sunday, November 3, 2013 is the annual All Souls Procession.
The Procession will begin moving through downtown at approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday.
It begins at Sixth Avenue and Alameda Street and ends at grand finale site at Congress Street and Linda Avenue near the Mercado San Agustin.
Below are the vehicular travel restrictions associated with this event:
All Souls Procession - Beginning Sunday November 3, 2013, from 3 p.m. until approximately 7 p.m., Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Sixth Street and Toole Avenue will be closed. Additionally, Seventh Street between Fifth and Seventh Avenues will be closed for the staging of the Procession.
Additionally, beginning at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013, Church Avenue between Pennington Street and Franklin Street; Granada Avenue between Broadway Boulevard and Paseo Redondo, and Sixth Avenue between Pennington Street and Toole Avenue will be closed. And westbound Congress Street will be closed at Grande Avenue.
There will also be a short term closure of both eastbound and westbound I-10 Frontage roads between St Mary's Road and 22nd Street, as well as the Congress Street off ramps while the procession is passing underneath I-10.
Motorists driving in the downtown area may experience traffic delays associated with this event and several road improvement projects, so please plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
