TUCSON - One suspect is in custody this morning, while Tucson Police search for another in the area of Glenn and Alvernon.

At around 1:55 this morning, a police officer made a traffic stop, inside the car were two men. The passenger was not cooperating with the officer's orders and at some point got out of the vehicle.

The officer, "perceived a threat" and shot at the man, he was not hit but he did take off running south east on Alvernon. A nearby citizen heard the shot and tackled the manas he was running, he is now in custody.

During that commotion, the driver of the vehicle took off and TPD is now looking for him. That area is an active police scene right now, and the officer has been placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation.
