TPD arrests 8 occupiers Monday, 2 booked into jail

TUCSON - Another night, another round of arrests for the Occupy Tucson protesters at Veinte de Agosto Park - eight were cited Monday night, and two were booked into Pima County Jail.
Tucson Police made contact with the demonstrators at Veinte de Agosto Park at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night, according to a TPD news release. Six were cited and field-released.
One subject was booked into jail after refusing to sign the citation, and another was booked into jail and charged with Interfering with Judicial Proceedings and Camping Prohibited, both misdemeanors.
