TPD arrests 3 suspects in attempted home invasion

TUCSON - Police have arrested 3 suspects who allegedly attempted to break-in to a home.

On July 29 at around 3:30 a.m., TPD received a 911 call about a suspect in front of a home on the 6000 block of South John Vic Place.

After the call, Operations Division South went to the area to investigate.

When officers arrived the found three armed suspects wearing masks on the front porch of a home.

The suspects fled as officers approached. Officers immediately locked down the neighborhood and chased the suspects. All three suspects were caught and multiple weapons were recovered.

Detectives from the Tucson Police Department's Home Invasion Unit responded to continue the investigation.

Detectives were able to determine that the suspects had chosen a random house.

The suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Jose Valenzuela, 21-year-old Adrian Varela, and 26-year-old Luis Varela.
