TUCSON - St. Patrick's day kicks off a slow cooling trend for southern Arizona.
A weak weather disturbance moving off to our north will bring daytime highs down this afternoon and once again kick up the winds. If you're heading out to Race for the Cure 60s and 70s and should do it through mid morning. The spring training game at Kino also looks great with the first pitch in the low 80s around 1pm.
According to Meteorologist John Patrick, St. Patrick's Day highs will be near 85 for Tucson with some 25mph wind gusts by this afternoon. Stronger wind gusts closer to 35mph are expected for Graham and Cochise Counties.
Temperatures will be stuck in the low 80s for the first half of the work week as zonal flow sets up over the west coast. Highs drop a little closer to normal as the 70s finally make their way back into the forecast by Thursday.
