UNDATED - Tucson Electric Power plans a career fair Thursday for veterans and their families. "TEP Hires Heroes" is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the company's corporate headquarters at 88 E. Broadway Boulevard in Downtown Tucson.
Thursday is also the "Great Arizona Shakeout" and schools and businesses all over the state will conduct earthquake drills. Arizona experiences hundreds of minor quakes each year but state and federal emergency management officials want people to know what to do if a "big one" hits.
Republican Congressman Jeff Flake and former U.S. Surgeon General Richard Carmona will face off in another debate, in Chandler. It will be the third time the two candidates for U.S. Senate have met for a forum. A fourth debate is scheduled for Thursday, October 25 in Yuma.

European Union leaders will gather in Berlin for a summit to discuss the continent's current financial crisis. The meeting will pit French President Francois Hollande, who favors stimulating growth against German Chancellor Angela Merkel who prefers a strict austerity approach.
A court hearing is scheduled in Las Vegas, Nevada for rapper and reality television star "Flavor Flav." Police in "Sin City" on Wednesday arrested the 53-year-old, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., after he allegedly threatened his fiancée and her teenage son with a knife.
