TUCSON - A few isolated storms and triple digit heat forecast to round out the weekend.
A daytime high near 105 will bring our triple digit stretch to 37 straight days which is good enough to be tied for the third longest stretch ever. Barring an early afternoon storm we should be able to break the all time streak by this Wednesday which is set at 39 straight days.
It has been a busy past couple of days with scattered monsoon storms but there could be another round again this afternoon. Expect isolated storms to fire up this afternoon in the higher elevations and slowly drift into the valleys with the biggest threat being locally heavy rain and gusty winds.
Our high pressure ridge sets up in a favorable position to bring scattered storms back to Southern Arizona by Tuesday afternoon. Check out your True View 4 Forecast by clicking here.
