TUCSON - Gusty Southwest winds on Wednesday are blowing a very different air-mass into the region.
As of 8 p.m., blowing dust and wind advisories have been lifted for the lowest elevations of SE Arizona. But, the coolest air since last April is marching into the state. Breezy conditions will persist overnight as the cooler air rushes in.
The best moisture remains in Northern Arizona, where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Flagstaff; for up to 5" of snow before early Thursday afternoon.
Farther South, there could be a few snow showers in the Catalinas and an isolated valley shower, but the biggest impact will be the cooler temperatures, topping off into the low to mid 70s for daytime highs.
