TUCSON - A lot more sunshine to start the day compared to 24 hours ago, leading to a slight upswing in thunderstorms.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, isolated thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. Storms will be of the hit and miss variety, mainly from a Sells-Tucson-Willcox line and south.
A few storms may produce locally heavy rainfall over 1", leading to flash flooding. Areas especially prone to flooding today include the wildfire burn areas in the Huachucas, Chiricahuas & White Mountains of Graham & Greenlee Counties.
