TUCSON - Thunder and lightning over Arizona Saturday.
It's not very often that Davis Monthan lets the public cross the fence to explore the other side, but for this weekend only, the base made an exception.
It opened its gates to the community this weekend with an air show, and it's free!
All weekend long, jets and planes will be zipping, zooming, swooping, and soaring out of sight.
Crowds are encouraged to explore the base, but all eyes are on the sky.
D-M released a statement saying they had a smaller crowd than anticipated at Saturday's open house.
They're expecting more people to visit Sunday, and are encouraging people to carpool because parking is limited.
