TUCSON - Border patrol agents have seized more than 6,000 pounds of marijuana in one fell swoop.

Agents from the Sonoita station went to investigate, after they received a call about two suspicious vehicles parked east of Patagonia.

What they found were two abandoned vehicles, each stuffed with bundles, worth more than $3,000,000.

"This seizure shows how elements of our National Strategy work when resourceful agents use information and relations to target and dismantle transnational criminal organizations operating within our border communities," said Patrol Agent in Charge, Michael Hyatt of the Sonoita station.
