TUCSON- If you want a special ride for your wedding, graduation, prom, you name it, Limoport Transportation will pick you up for the party.
But these days, the company's owner, Dale Hulvey, has nothing to party about.
He says over the last couple of weeks, thieves and vandals have targeted his fleet. "They just took the mirrors and twisted them until they broke," Hulvey says.
He says they also stole the windshield wipers off all of his limos.
In the latest incident, three cars broke down in the middle of the road. "We have high suspicion that they broke down because of water being put in the fuel," Hulvey says.
He says all the crimes will cost him at least $15,000. "With everything added up it has become a major problem and it's time to prosecute," Hulvey says.
Over the weekend he filed a report with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, which is now investigating all of the incidents.
Deputy Tom Peine has a few recommendations for business owners, to make sure they're protected. "You want to have good lighting on the property and it's surroundings," Peine says. "Also, perimeter security, like a fence, is something that can prevent intruders from entering the property and then also surveillance video."
Hulvey isn't sure why anyone would target his company, but he doesn't want to let it happen again. "It makes us more than angry," Hulvey says. "That's why we're going after them with a vengeance."
Limoport Transportation is located at 7493 N. Oracle Rd.
Hulvey operates out of an office building owned by Hazen Enterprises. Brandt Hazen tells News 4 Tucson this is the first case of vandalism among his tenants in 15 years.
Hazen also says after hearing about Hulvey's case he has hired a security company to patrol the parking lot at night, seven days a week.
