TUCSON - Welcome back, Monsoon 2013.
Increased moisture leads to a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in Tucson today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas east of the metro stand a better shot of storms during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs in Tucson today peak in the 103-105° range.
The prime time for storms over the next 7 days will be tomorrow. Abundant moisture interacts with a mid-level disturbance to kick up scattered storms area-wide. Beyond that, the isolated hit & miss variety of thunder reigns through early next week.
