TUCSON - As the hottest June on record turned into July, Mother Nature flipped the monsoon switch to on.
Two rounds of storms developed over the Catalina's and brought some damaging winds and heavy rain to much of the City of Tucson.
The area hardest hit was Tucson's Westside, where strong winds knocked down power lines and power to many customers.
Scattered storms were winding down as of 6:30pm but a few isolated storms could still pop-up later this evening.
As we make our way into your holiday workweek, we can expect a daily chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
