TUCSON - After a week long hibernation, monsoon 2014 is rubbing her eyes and awakening from a deep slumber.
Isolated storms near the border of Mexico have begun to fire up and a few more are occurring in western Pima County.
Most of the action will remain south of Tucson, but storm chances will be on the rise this weekend and especially by Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile partly cloudy skies exist for the rest of the area with temperatures near seasonal averages in the mid to upper 90s.
