Thanksgiving Day holiday garbage and recycling schedule

TUCSON - The Thanksgiving Day holiday will be observed on Thursday, November 26, 2009. City of Tucson Environmental Services will NOT collect residential or commercial garbage and recycling on Thursday and the Los Reales Landfill will be closed.

City of Tucson residential and commercial customers with plastic containers whose regular collection day is Thursday or Friday will have their garbage and recycling service delayed by one day. Additional information can be found on the department's web site at www.tucsonaz.gov/esd

Environmental Services commercial customers with metal containers will not receive service on Thursday. Collections will resume on Friday.

City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2009 and Friday, November 27, 2009; however, the City of Tucson Environmental Services will have phone staff available from 7 a m - 5 pm on Friday, November 27, 2009, and from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday November 28, 2009. Customers can contact ES Customer Service at 791-3171 or via e-mail at eshelp@tucsonaz.gov and they will be contacted as soon as possible.
