TFD pulls baby out of car, mother was inside store

TUCSON - TPD, Tucson Fire Department, and paramedics were called after a mother left her baby inside a car outside a midtown Fry's store.

The incident happened just before 6:30 p.m., at the Fry's on Grant and Swan.

According to Captain Chris Jurvig with Tucson Fire Department, someone called 911, crews arrived, and broke the window to get the baby out of the car. The mother came out of the store after crews were able to get the baby out. We're told the baby is fine and did not need to be transported.

Tucson police tell us the baby is 2-month-old and was left in the car for 15 minutes. The mother told police she accidently forgot the baby. Police say the mother was cited.

Tucson police are investigating the incident.
