TUCSON - Investigation is now underway to find out what caused a fire to erupt at a midtown auto-repair shop shortly before midnight.
It happened in the 800 block of West Grant near Oracle at Precision Engineering. The building was engulfed in thick, black smoke forcing firefighters to battle the flames and smoke from outside. TFD tells us it was too dangerous to go inside the building.
It took about an hour and a half and 15 hundred gallons of water to bring that fire under control. No one was hurt, damage estimates and the cause are unknown at this time.
