Terror suspect ordered held without bail

RIVERSIDE (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a judge has ordered a man held without bond after he was swept up in a federal terrorism probe and accused of taking part in a plot to kill Americans overseas.

U.S. attorney spokesman Thom Mrozek says 21-year-old Arifeen David Gojali was ordered Monday to remain behind bars. He is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 5.

Gojali is one of three Californian men investigators arrested just two days before they planned to board a plane headed for Istanbul, and then on to Afghanistan where they were to meet up with 34-year-old American Sohiel Omar Kabir.

In a 77-page affidavit, which included references to the group's online video conversations and audio recordings, federal officials say the men planned attacks on military bases overseas.
