PHOENIX (AP) - A delegation of Tennessee legislators will be in Phoenix on Friday, planning to meet with their Arizona counterparts and deliver a resolution supporting Arizona's new immigration law.
Sen. Bill Ketron of Murfreesboro and other Tennessee lawmakers will meet with sponsors of the Arizona law and hold a late afternoon news conference with Arizona lawmakers.
Ketron says the visit is intended to learn about the Arizona law and to show support for it.
The Tennessee General Assembly's resolution congratulates Arizona lawmakers and Brewer for (in its words) "their actions to protect their citizens and the borders of our great nation."
Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen returned the resolution without his signature.
