TUCSON - A teenager who was struck and killed on Interstate 19 near Drexel Road on Friday night has been identified by Department of Public Safety officials.
Ramses Abel Valenzuela, 15, was found laying partially in the outside lane of traffic on northbound Interstate 19, near milepost 60, at about 9:50 p.m. Friday night, a DPS news release states.
There was no vehicle at the scene. Valenzuela was transported to UMC where he died from his injuries. At this time, it is unknown what type of vehicle struck him, DPS officials say.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
