TDOT to begin trimming trees in city medians

TUCSON - The Tucson Department of Transportation has contracted Complete Landscaping to begin trimming palm trees located in city medians. Median lanes will be being closed sporadically as the contractor moves through the project areas. Crews will work from Monday, October 15 through Thursday, November 8 on weekdays from Monday through Thursday at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

According to a news release form TDOT, crews will be working on Miracle Mile from Oracle Road to Interstate 10 from Monday, October 15 to Wednesday, October 17. On Thursday, October 18, crews will be working at Broadway from Country Club Road to Alvernon Way. Broadway will also be worked on from Country Club Road to Camino Seco on Monday, October 22. From Tuesday October 23 to Thursday, November 8, workers will finish Broadway from Alvernon Way to Camino Seco.

This schedule is subject to change, TDOT officials state. Expect delays when traveling in these work areas. Traveling public is urged to obey all traffic signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
