TUCSON - South Tucson Police have confirmed that the suspicious device found at an apartment complex earlier today turned out to be a piece of trash.

Earlier today, a South Tucson Police officer came across a suspicious device behind the complex, located at the Old Spanish Trail Apartments, on East Benson Highway near 4th Avenue, according to Lt. Jeff Inorio with South Tucson Police.

The Pima County Regional Bomb Squad was called out to the scene, and they determined the suspicious item was a beer can with a piece of tape sticking out.
