PHOENIX (AP) - Three suspected illegal immigrants working at a Tempe mall store have been arrested after a raid by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in an identity theft investigation.

Deputies served a search warrant at the Burlington Coat Factory off Interstate 10 and U.S. 60 at the Arizona Mills mall around 7 p.m. Thursday. They say they received a tip from a former manager at the retail store that 10 workers might be using stolen identities.

Deputies compared Social Security information with other forms of identification prior to the raid and say they knew which suspects to look for before serving the warrant.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his deputies will continue to look for the other seven suspects. Those arrested are expected to face charges of identity theft.
