Suspect arrested for selling medical marijuana

PINAL COUNTY - A San Tan Valley man was arrested after selling medical marijuana to undercover narcotics detective.

In February, The Pinal County Sheriff's Narcotic Task Force received information that 32-year-old Phillip Vaughn was selling high grade hydroponic marijuana.
During the next few weeks, Vaughn allegedly sold the pot to an undercover detective on numerous occasions.

On March 27th, Vaughn agreed to meet the detective at the Walmart located at 1725 West Hunt Highway to sell him $100 worth of marijuana. Vaughn told the detective he brought him $80 worth of "Nice Guy" and $20 worth of "Casey Dream" marijuana. The detective paid him $100 and as Vaughn was leaving, he was taken into custody by other task force members.

Vaughn admitted he was using his "Arizona Medical Marijuana Program Identification" card to purchase marijuana at various medical marijuana shops around the San Tan Valley area and selling the marijuana.

Phillip Vaughn was booked into the Pinal County Jail for possession of marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana.
