TUCSON - The battle between Monsoon moisture and Pacific dry air is taking place over southern Arizona.

According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, areas from the Tucson metro and east stand a chance of isolated storms this afternoon and evening. To the west, dry air will win out and daytime highs will approach the triple digits with partly cloudy skies.

The best chance of thunderstorms today will be in Cochise, Graham and Greenlee Counties.

The usual suspects will be the primary threats out of storms today: a few may produce flooding rainfall up to one inch and gusty winds.
