TUCSON - Saturday's storms were more miss than hit. That could change this afternoon.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, a southeastlerly flow aloft remains in place over southern Arizona. This will keep Monsoon moisture in place, helping to develop scattered showers & thunderstorms today.
The best chance for storms will be after lunch time, pushing into the Tucson metro from the southeast. Some computer models are hinting at storms lasting well after sunset.
A widespread severe weather outbreak is not anticipated today, but a few storms may produce locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
Stay with News 4 Tucson & KVOA.com through the day for weather updates. Jeff will have a complete look at your work week forecast tonight on News 4 at 5:30 and 10.
