FREE BUS TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND SENIORS

Sun Tran's Accessible Rider Training Program

TUCSON, Ariz. - Sun Tran is offering free bus rider training, designed to help people gain greater independence by learning how to ride the bus. The Sun Tran Accessible Rider Training (START) program helps seniors and individuals with disabilities learn how to utilize Sun Tran services. The next session will be held Thursday, November 8, at Sun Van, 3401 E. Ajo Way, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The training covers topics to ensure individuals are successful riding Sun Tran, such as:
o Understanding route maps and schedules
o Trip planning
o Which bus to take and how to transfer
o How to pay a fare
o Using Sun Tran's telephone information center
o How to use www.suntran.com
o First-hand experience riding a Sun Tran bus

Participants are encouraged to make reservations by calling (520) 206-8881, as space is limited.
