TUCSON - The first day of fall brings another round of triple digits to southern Arizona.
Tucson starts the weekend and the fall season off with the 72nd triple digit of the year topping off at 100, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. A forecast high of 101 will wrap up the weekend before a late September cool down starts.
Heading into the work week a low pressure system works its way into the western states and brings some cooler air along with it. Monday starts the week off with a high of 97 but temperatures drop to the low 90s by the end of the week.
Keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Miriam in the eastern Pacific to possibly transport some moisture into southern Arizona late next week. For now will keep isolated storm chances in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.
