TUCSON - A line of strong storms that originated on the Mogollom Rim continues to work its way southwest.
Strong storms will continue to develop well into this evening, some likely turning severe. Damaging wind gusts in excess of 60mph, hail and heavy rain will all be possible with these storms.
A line of storms building on the backside of the Catalinas and Rincons may affect parts of metro Tucson over the next couple of hours as they slowly move to the southwest. Don't forget you can track thunderstorms here.
A Dust Storm Warning is already in effect for portions of Pinal and Pima Counties until 8pm. As of 6pm this evening a trained weather spotter reported a wall of dust moving toward the Casa Grande area.
Southern Arizona has enough moisture and energy in place to keep this active monsoon pattern around over the next several days. The main concern will continue to be heavy flooding rains and strong damaging wind gusts.
