TUCSON - Even though it's silent across the Sonoran Desert tonight, the Monsoon looks to ramp up over the next 48 hours.
News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish is tracking two features which will help develop thunderstorms this weekend. The first is a mid-level low, currently over west Texas. This disturbance, along with abundant moisture, will bring scattered storms Saturday.
The second feature is Tropical Storm Don over south Texas. Remnants of Don are expected to track into southern New Mexico by Sunday, bringing scattered to widespread thunderstorms.
Flash flooding, gusty winds and small hail are the primary threats from storms this weekend.
