TUCSON -Storm free Saturday but the monsoon should pick back up soon.
Thanks to an upper level low to our north, dry air settled in on Saturday bringing little in the way of monsoon storms and warmer temperatures. The high today for Tucson was 95 degrees, the warmest of the week.
Moisture will try to creep back into the far southeast corner of the state tomorrow for a few isolated storms. The best bet for these will be over the higher elevations of Cochise County during the afternoon hours.
Hurricane Marie in the eastern Pacific may help transport some moisture our way early this workweek. Isolated storms will be back in the forecast starting Monday with some computer models pointing at Tuesday as our most active storm day of the new week.
We'll start to tone down the storm chances once again heading into next weekend as another round of dry air works its way into Southern Arizona. Daytime highs will remain within a few degrees of normal for the next several days.
