TUCSON - Monsoon 2013 a little more active today versus 24 hours ago.
Isolated storms are possible later this afternoon & evening, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. A few storms may be capable of locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds, but the severe threat should be limited. Some places see rain, most will not as the atmosphere isn't as unstable as yesterday.
Today's high temp of 101° would mark the 66th triple digit day of 2013 in Tucson.
Drier air slides in behind the storms, decreasing the thunder threat the rest of the week. Isolated storms will mostly stay confined to the mountains tomorrow through the weekend, with only a few drifting into the lower elevations. Highs each day look to remain in the triple digits.
