Storm chances decreasing for the new week

TUCSON - Hope you enjoyed Saturday's rain, because a drying trend is about to take place.

Expect scattered storms again Sunday afternoon & evening, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Favored areas will be Tucson and points east, with locally heavy rainfall the primary concern. Daytime highs reach the low to mid 90's across Metro Tucson to wrap the weekend.

Drier air infiltrates the desert from the southwest by Monday, decreasing storm chances to the isolated variety. Tuesday through the remainder of the work week features a return of triple digit heat & isolated mountain storms. Models indicate storm chances may return by next weekend.
