TUCSON - Tucson Electric Power is reporting that there are several areas of Tucson experiencing power outages.
At one point it was estimated that more than 20,000 customers were without power.
Response teams have been out since this afternoon and TEP currently estimates that 12,000 homes and businesses still have no electricity.
Crews continue to deal with downed power lines and poles throughout the city with a handful of poles down near the Tucson Mall.
Tucson Police have shut down all roadways on Oracle Road from River to Limberlost. Police advise motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
For more information, or to report outages, call the TEP Customer Care line at 623-7711.
